I have a quote from Daish’s for 3 nights half board at the Barrowfield Hotel, Newquay, including return coach travel for £139.00 per person (based on 53 people).
Hire of the coach for Saturday and Sunday is £300.00 per day, which amounts to about £11.35 per person extra in total. This gives us exclusive use of the coach and we decide where we want to go. Otherwise it’s first come first served for anyone in the hotel at £10.00 per person per day to destinations decided by Daish’s.
Up to 5 single rooms are available at £10.00 per person supplement. As usual, I’ll divide this cost between all of us, which amounts to only 95 pence per person. To offset these costs I’ll divide the 3 free places (for 45 or more) between all of us – amounting to £7.85 per person. This makes the total cost approximately £143.50 per person. I must stress that these costings depend on the full complement of 53.
I’ve provisionally booked it, but they require a firm booking by the end of next week. I need your firm commitment and a non-refundable deposit of £5.00 per person by next week’s meeting so that I can send a deposit cheque to Daish’s. A further payment of £30.00 per person would be required in March and the balance by 20th August 2019. If anyone needs travel insurance, Daish’s costs £12.50 per person. Please let me know ASAP if you definitely want to go. We have to book early because their group tours fill up very quickly.
