Shipmates,
As you are well aware the proposed celebration to be held on Portland and in Weymouth have had to be postponed. I will ask you all to remember it in your own fashion.
What I propose is;
At 1100, in line with the rest of the country, we observe a short silence to pay tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and to the carers, nurses and doctors who are fighting today’s battle. The Standard will be dressed appropriately.
And at 1500 you join me in the National Toast. (Those with tickets get one free!)
