A message from our President at the inaugural launch of our website……
“As we celebrate our 60th anniversary we are embarking on a new venture, our very own website.
60 years ago when we first commissioned we knew nothing of the internet, mobile phones were unheard of and when we were away from home we wrote letters to our nearest and dearest sometimes taking weeks to arrive at their destination, now with the internet it is done in an instant.
We at Portland Branch now have one of, if not the best websites in the country so be proud of it and make good use of it shipmates and enjoy it, long may it be a success.”
