Subject: Shipmate Ray Istead Crossed the Bar
Dear Shipmates and Friends
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that our Shipmate Ray Isted crossed the bar this morning. Ray was a former Royal Navy Master at Arms, a former RNA branch Chairman, Area 4 Committee member, a stalwart of the Royal Naval Association, a branch committee member of the Royal British Legion St Austell and above all a good friend to all who knew him. He will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Sandy and Ray’s whole family on this sad occasion. Rest in Peace shipmate your watch is over and your duty done.
