S/M Annie Robbins funeral.
Shipmates, having read the obituary notice for the late Annie in the Evening Echo, I noticed that cheques for donations should be made payable to the Royal Naval Association and forwarded to Rose Funeral Service. I have been in contact with the funeral director to inform them that cheques should be made payable to Portland Royal Naval Association. I contacted Annie`s brother to get permission to do this, and whilst talking to Steve Clarke, he mentioned that the wake will be held at The George Inn, Reforne, Portland and everybody is more than welcome to attend even if you cannot attend the funeral service. He would like an idea of numbers that would like to attend the wake for catering purposes.
This information was publicised at the Monthly meeting on Wednesday, but if you didn’t attend the meeting could you let me know if you will be attending the wake.
