Shipmates,
Yesterday, S/M President Ben, S/M Chairman Alex, S/M Treasurer Pete, S/M Secretary Christine and myself were invited on board HMS PORTLAND at Portland where we had coffee, stickies and a chat with the Commanding Officer, Commander Tim Leeder, alongside his Executive Officer and Executive Warrant Officer.
This was followed by a small ceremony of remembrance at the RN Cemetery, where a wreath was laid and some poignant poems were read out.
