I have received an email from Area 4 Secretary S/M Brett Crabtree with reference to the Area Standard Bearers. S/M Ben did an excellent job for Portland Branch at Bideford, but as you know we are actively looking for a new Standard Bearer and the following also explains about forthcoming training, which is open to Standard Bearers and novices. If anyone is interested in this valuable role please contact Ben or myself so we can let the organisers know.
The Area 4 Ceremonial Officer, S/m Lee (Fred) Perry has asked that I forward his thanks and high praises for the Standard Bearers in attendance at the Reunion Church Service this morning in Northam Church. Well done all.
He also wishes to know about possible numbers for upcoming Standard Bearer training at HMS Raleigh along with viable dates.
Could all branch secretaries please ensure that their respective branch Standard Bearers are kept fully informed on the above. In turn, would all branch Standard Bearers please contact the Area 4 Ceremonial Officer with their thoughts on achieving this training which is a valuable resource in achieving and maintaining the required high standards.
