In commemoration of Merchant Navy Day, a memorial service will take place at St Georges Churchyard, Portland on Thursday 3rd September 2026 at 12:00. The service will be led by Rev Helen Harrell, Minister of Easton Methodist Church and Rev Shan Litjens.
Please note that although this is not a formal invitation all are most welcome and the Mayor of Portland, Councillor Pete Roper will be delighted to see you there. There will be an opportunity to lay wreaths and the Order of Service will be available on the day.
Refreshments will be served following the service in St George's Church.
