"To commemorate VJ Day, a memorial service will take place at All Saints Church, Portland on Saturday 15th August 2026 at 4.00pm.
The service will be conducted by the Reverend Michael Lee, and led by the Mayor of Portland, Councillor Pete Roper.
Please note that this is not a formal invitation, but you are very warmly welcomed to attend. There will be an opportunity to lay wreaths and the Order of Service will be available on the day."
